Turkish Baked Apples with Walnuts

4 cooking Apples (ie Granny Smith)
1 cup Walnuts, crushed
4 tsp Red Hill Spice Girls SWEET BAHARAT
4 tbsp Brown sugar
1 tbsp Butter, cut into pieces
2 tbsp Lemon juice

In a bowl mix walnuts, Sweet Baharat spice blend, brown sugar and butter.
Prepare the apples for baking depending on your preference.
Ie: peel and rub with lemon juice, or cut a line around the centre of apple peel to allow it to expand.
Core the apples, but do not cut all the way through to the bottom.
Fill the apples with the walnut mix.

Place in a baking dish with 1 cup water and bring to the boil.
Bake in a moderate oven (180oc) for 30-40 minutes basting occasionally, until apples are tender.

Serve with custard, cream or icecream, topped with some of the juice from the pan poured over and a sprinkle of Sweet Baharat.
